Update your WordPress Site URL
The most straightforward way to update your site's URL is via the General Settings area in the WordPress Dashboard, however you can also update the URL in other ways, such as updating your database or theme files.
Note: Updating the URL of your WordPress site will cause existing users to be logged out.
Update your WordPress Site URL via the Dashboard
- Login to your WordPress site Dashboard
- Browse to Settings-->General Settings
Update the value for "WordPress Address (URL)" and "Site Address (URL)" to the new values

Now that you've updated your WordPress site URL, you may need to update links that point to the old URL you were using. There are many ways to do this, but a generally simple one involves using a WordPress plugin to update various URLs in your site.
